4XROBOTS, a robotics company based in Denmark, launched a four-armed delta robot that aims to address labor shortages by improving operational efficiency in controlled environment agriculture (CEA) operations. Features include:

• Enhanced safety: The robot works alongside humans without the need for fencing (application dependent), enabling growers to get close to their crops and ensure a safe work environment.
• Labor shortage solution: It automates repetitive tasks and allows growers to minimize human contact, which reduces contamination risks. The robot is also lightweight, making it easy to relocate in a CEA facility.
• High-speed efficiency: The robot is capable of up to 2,400 “pick and place” operations per hour depending on the application.
