Direct Carbon Expands Wunderpumpe Offerings
Direct Carbon, a company that offers CO2 solutions for indoor farms, announced the expansion of its Wunderpumpe collection on Jan. 29. When it was first unveiled at Greentech Amsterdam in 2024, the Wunderpumpe, a compact machine that captures CO2 from the air and repurposes it for greenhouses and vertical farms, came in one size that generated 5 kg per day. With sizes now generating between 2 kg per day to 200 kg per day, the company aims to help small- and large-scale indoor farms transition to sustainable, circular farming practices with air-captured CO2.

A Scalable Solution for Every Indoor Farm
By extending its product range, Direct Carbon hopes to provide CO2 solutions for small research facilities, mid-sized greenhouses, and large-scale vertical farms. Its compact direct air capture (DAC) technology helps growers create optimal growing environments with sustainable CO2 while reducing reliance on fossil-based CO2 sources and enhancing productivity.
Expanding Into New Geographies
As Direct Carbon expands its offerings, it will explore new markets and geographies to bring its solutions to growers around the world. The company believes that collaboration is essential to accelerating the transition to carbon-neutral indoor farming, and it welcomes discussions with potential strategic partners, distributors, and industry stakeholders who share its vision.
