Ralf Du Toit
As the owner of Extreme Green Farms, Inc., Ralf Du Toit is an entrepreneur that is passionate about farming and providing fresh, high quality, sustainable products to the community. He started his hydroponic farming business in 2012 and in 12 years, has grown from a one-greenhouse lettuce operation to a fourteen-greenhouse farming business producing a variety of lettuces, tomatoes, cucumbers, micro greens and herbs for Auburn, Columbus, Montgomery and the surrounding areas. His customer base includes local restaurants, schools, food banks, and direct sales to local community residents through an onsite farm store and local farmers markets. Extreme Green Farms is now one of the largest, non-commercial lettuce growers in Alabama.
Prior to developing his farming business, Ralf worked in Atlanta, GA in a variety of positions in the IT industry. He is originally a native of South Africa where he was introduced to hydroponic growing technologies and learned the business by working on a hydroponic farm. He now lives and farms in Auburn, Alabama.
