Hydroponics 101: CropKing Hosts Workshop for Hydroponic Growers in Tulsa

On August 7 and 8, 2024, CropKing will host a Grower’s Workshop at Better Day Farms in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

During this two-day course, the CropKing team will teach attendees the ins and outs of hydroponic production. The workshop will focus on Nutrient Film Technique (NFT) growing, as Better Day Farms uses this type of hydroponic system. In addition, CropKing will offer information on different types of growing media, pest management, creating a business plan, building for success and more. Workshop attendees will walk away with the knowledge to grow their own hydroponic crops as a hobby grower or as a new business venture.

“The Grower’s School workshop program has been a staple offering of CropKing’s for over 40 years,” said Paul Brentlinger, CEO of CropKing. “We’re excited to partner with Better Day Farms and share our growing methods, best practices and discuss the mistakes to avoid with the next group of future hydroponic farmers.”

Better Day Farms is an 11,000 square foot lettuce and herb facility that produces over 24,000 plants each month. Located in the Osage Hills, Better Day Farms is Tulsa’s first large-scale hydroponic farm, and aims to transform north Tulsa’s food desert.

Registration for the Grower’s School is limited to 16 attendees to enable more personal interaction and a Q&A session. To register, visit CropKing’s website.
