The Largest Greenhouse Produce Growers in the U.S. in 2025
Determining the size of greenhouse produce facilities is difficult when the industry is constantly expanding. The editors of our sister brand Greenhouse Grower first attempted this list in 2021 and again in 2023. CEAg World has now taken over this project and compiled the list for 2025.
The information listed in the chart below was compiled via direct communication with the companies listed, who were kind enough to provide their most updated numbers.
Two items of note: first, the list only reflects greenhouse production in the U.S. Second, it does not include vertical farming operations.
Please also note that identifying and ranking the largest greenhouse fresh-market produce growers in North America proved to be a difficult task for a variety of reasons. Many projects and expansions occur under the radar, and the speed at which growers are scaling up and expanding is difficult to track. We’d love to hear from you to help update this list.
Additionally, we would like to compile a Top 100 list of greenhouse operations growing fresh-market produce based on square footage of environmentally controlled space. If you feel you should be on this list, please email dshugrue@meistermedia.com to submit a correction or information about your facility.
