Jack Maruna
Project Manager, Department of Horticulture of Auburn University

Jack Maruna received his B.S. in Agricultural Economics from Auburn University in 2018. He started his career in the biological industry, where he was a sales representative and consultant to many types of agricultural operations across the US and Canada. There he learned about high-tech greenhouse fruit and vegetable production as well as what it takes to successfully get quality produce to the end user. Leveraging his experience gained in CEA, Jack then followed his passion for horticulture and hospitality to work as a sales consultant in the culinary industry, where he worked directly with chefs from Nashville, TN to Huntsville, AL to provide them with locally-grown, fresh produce. Jack is currently the Program Manager for FoodU at Auburn University. His main goal is to successful bridge the gap between Horticulture and Culinary Sciences while offering students applicable experience working in a tight knit food system.
