Sarah Martin is the head of food safety and biologist at Better Day Farms in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She has her undergraduate degree from Oral Roberts University in Biology with an emphasis in environmental science. Her responsibilities at Better Day Farms include quality control regarding the produce, handling pests/diseases, research and development of new products/procedures and compliance of food safety practices. Better Day Farms has achieved SQF certification the last two years and has grown a variety of different types of lettuce and herbs. Hydroponics has allowed her passion for science and horticulture to merge with feeding people fresh, nutrient-packed food throughout the midwest. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, yoga and camping in the National Parks.
