Amos Bassi
With a passion for Controlled Environment Agriculture and a deep understanding of business principles, Amos Bassi has made significant contributions to the CEA industry through his agronomy and strategic management expertise. Bassi is an accomplished agronomist with solid business acumen. He also received an Executive MBA in Economics from Università degli Studi Guglielmo Marconi in Rome, Italy. Through his education and practical commercial experience, Bassi possesses the ability to bridge the gap between science and business, which made him a valuable asset to several organizations in China, Holland, Italy, and with his move to Canada in 2019, now Canada and the U.S. In his current role as Plant Specialist for Philips Horticulture LED Lighting team, Amos regularly provides guidance to Canada fruit and vegetable growers, leafy green growers, floriculture growers and cannabis growers. Amos is currently overseeing the Philips LED Lighting team’s innovative high-wire pepper trial at University of British Columbia; the trial is now in its fourth year.
