BrightFarms To Take Wraps off Brand New Greenhouse in Texas

Indoor leafy greens leader BrightFarms is set to share news at the upcoming VIVA Fresh produce trade show in Houston about the opening of its Lorena, TX, greenhouse. According to the company, the new facility will commence operations in fall 2024.

BrightFarms’ participation in VIVA Fresh (booth #820) underscores its commitment to providing a fresh and secure supply of Texas-grown salad greens to retailers and consumers throughout the state.

“We are thrilled to celebrate our expansion into Texas at Viva Fresh,” says Abby Prior, Chief Commercial Officer at BrightFarms. “With the opening of our new greenhouse in Lorena later this year, we will bring a leading brand with proven growth driving strength to the market.

BrightFarms’ expansion plans are supported by the announcement of Cox Farms, a new business at Cox Enterprises focused on sustainable food and agriculture and one of the largest greenhouse operators in North America harvesting 360 million pounds of produce annually.
